The Remigius hiking trail bears its name in reference to St. Remigius, Bishop of Reims, after whom the Remigius Church, part of a monastery complex, part of a Benedectine provostry of St. Remigii Remigiusberg was named. The path runs through the Remigiusland, which the Franconian King Childeberg II, a great-grandson of the Frankish king Clovis, gave to the diocese of Reims. The 220 km2 area also included the villages through which the St. Remigius Weg leads in 1127.
The path leads from Kusel via Haschbach, past the St. Remigus Church and the Michelsburg, past Theisberg-Steegen via the Potzberg Wildlife Park, Föckelberg, Oberstaufenbach, Niederstaufenbach past the Wolfskirche Bosenbach to Eßweiler.
In Rothselberg, after 37.6 km, it connects to the "Pfälzer Höhenweg" hiking trail. The path runs through valleys and heights and impresses with its natural silence, the natural paths and the great view.
In the course of the Remigius hiking trail there are sufficient connections a public transport, hiking parking lots and refreshment stops.
